Hi there from both of us! We’re so happy you are here with us for our ‘LOST IN THE LIGHT’ course.

Hi there from both of us! We’re so happy you are here with us for our ‘LOST IN THE LIGHT’ course.

This course is something we have been working on without even realising it for years. We are those kind of friends who just can’t help but share anything to do with photography, because WE LOVE IT. It’s only really this year that we’ve put everything we have learnt and experienced together to share with you, and it’s super special to us that we get to do that.

Photography doesn’t need to be some secret science, and good photography comes from within you, so all we really need to do is guide you in the right direction and see how your journey evolves. We’re so excited to see what you can create when you know how! A lot of where we started from and on a similar road to that we are taking you.. began with WHY?

Why do we do the things we do? why do we need to start with why? because that’s where the magic happens. That’s when you realise that YOU are difference between so many different pictures, and your story, the way YOU see the world, is pretty spectacular.

It’s important to start somewhere

On this path together you find yourself feeling a little bit lost, or overwhelmed but don’t worry about it too much. We all have to start somewhere and the most important part is that you START SOMEWHERE. Try not to be too critical of yourself and allow creativity to come in.

No one starts out perfect, don’t be put off and just keep going. Our journey, as with many others started with WHY

We find inspiration all over the place but the one element that ALWAYS brings us back to that place of creation is seeing someone creating from a place when they are connected with their reason for doing it. You can totally tell, they talk about it, they love it, they want to share it with others.

With this course we want to give you everything you need, all the basics, all the inspiration, all the guidance to go out and do it for you and for your audience.

Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures
— Don McCullin

Each week we will be releasing a new module for you to work on. Every module will have a workbook which will be super useful to those of you who are beginners and will also offer support and a different way of looking at things if you already have a good understanding of photography but feel as though you need to strengthen your skills.

You will also find different Assignments to help you to work on the lessons you have learned. We put plenty of time into creating video clips from two from us to help you along with each module and will also be offering Facebook live sessions along the way and will always be in the group to answer them there too.

Please do remember that we live in Yorkshire and work on LONDON GMT ( not that we’re more slow up here) and we will do our best to reply to your questions within 48 hours if not sooner. Our hopes and dreams for this course were to give as much of us as we can to help you, so your questions are super important to us!

The supporting workbooks for each module have been written perhaps more with a beginner in mind but will be useful to you if you’re a beginner, or as a refresher for those of you who feel a little stuck in your creative journey.

Take your time with things, everyone works at a different pace and we’ve set things up so that you can pop in and out, as and when you need to.

We will give you as much as we can, but ultimately it’s down to YOU to make the commitment to CREATE to get the MOST out of it.

SO dive right in, we’ll be there to keep you afloat!
